Just a little message....

I have seen so many young kids have to deal with so much drama in their lives this school year. It is really quite sad.  So when I seen this picture, it brought to mind some of these kiddo's.  Prayer, Faith, Hope and Endurance. Those four words alone will get you through whatever life brings your way.  Try it! You may find that these four words have a lot of power!! :)

Everything starts with effort, when was the last time you gave maximum effort?
What have you done to help someone today??
People don't follow what you say....they follow what you do!
The grass is not greener on the otherside, it's greener where you chose to water it!

Great messages from someone real!  Thanks Mr. Hawkins! :)

Hmmm, I think it's all about persistence???

I so need to put this message up all over my room!  It's all about persistence!  It may take a lot of tries again and again, but with persistence, you WILL get there!  Even a steady drip of water on a stone, with persistence, will eventually hollow it out, right?? :)  Let's make it a great week!

Long day, but a great day! Love these times when we get the chance to work together as a team with parents and student to discuss ways to enhance their school learning and find ways that will help them be successful.  Didn't get much of my paperwork done, but had some great conversations with some awesome kids and parents.  Together, we can hopefully give the student an awesome school year experience! :)  Have a great long weekend!

Today's the sixth annual Spread the Word to End the Word Day, dedicated to raising awareness about an insulting word—and respect for people with intellectual disability. Started by the Special Olympics, the campaign is on the surface about why the word "retard" perpetuates negative stereotypes of people with ID but at heart, it's about consideration.
